I normally would not write a review but my my internist and lab are at this location and I have never waited long and have had only good experiences. The desk staff, nurses and tech have all been efficient and friendly. I am a complainer but feel that I must write as the last review was not my experience. Also my blood is difficult to obtain so I need someone with good technique which I find here.
When we got around to seeing Dr. Chundrun she said to me “I assume this is not your children?”. I could not believe my ears, so I had asked here again to repeat herself and she did. I asked her why would you assume that this is not my child? She answered, “Because they do not look like you.”. At this point I should mention that I am black, and my children are white. I said quite offended “that is very racist assumption!”. Dr. Chundrun then added “the baby-sitter comes with the children all the time “. I am uphauled and disgusted that in a place where you expect a level of professionalism and education my children and I have to been subjected to such bigotry and ignorance.
it takes about 3 months to make an appointment with a pediatric provider,,on the day of appointment we were late by 15 mins because of rain and traffic and they cancelled us without even informing us. They want us to make another appointment which is another 3 months down the line. And we are already there in the office, and was turned away. That is lack of consideration/respect for patients time. What good is a doctor if the doctor is not available for a patient. If they are overworked and overloaded with patients, it is not a good thing for patients. It is a waste of time to be elbowing people on the road, rushing to an appointment, only to find out that you are not welcome, ..what happened to the slogan "patients first"?

My experience with Dr. Vasudha Chundrun at Summit Medical Group Westfield NJ
This place absolutely rocks! Fast, friendly and convenient. I was amazed at how fast I was out of there with my son. He was signed in, tested for strep, saw by Dr and prescription filled at our pharmacy in less than an hour and whole staff was phenomenonal.
Everyone is so friendly, there was a very short wait time, organized, and lots of nurses and doctors who seem to know their stuff. I would definitely recommend going here. Although if I keep spreading how great it is, the wait time will grow lol!!!
